Does Genius Reviews work on all review ratings?
Yes: positive, neutral, and negative reviews can all take advantage of this feature.
How does the Genius Reviews know how to respond?
In order for Genius to respond SOCi has a default prompt that tells it how we would like it to try to respond. Each account can have its own customizations made via prompt directives to fine tune their responses.
Why doesn't Genius auto-respond without me needing to submit the response?
While the auto-response is helpful, it may not always provide a response that you are 100% happy with. Our recommendation is to review the responses before sending to your customers to ensure they match your company’s guidelines and best practices.
Can I apply the Genius Review responses in bulk?
Yes! You will be able to review and submit multiple Genius responses at the same time for optimum efficiency.
Can I edit the response provided by Genius?
While the response box will be pre-populated with an AI suggested response, the user still has the option to edit, delete, or alter the response before clicking on the ‘Send Response’ button. Templates are also still available if the best response is one from your libraries.
How does this work if I have approvals turned on for a manager?
Any responses generated by Genius that are submitted by a user will still follow any currently implemented approvals process flows.
Will Google penalize me for AI review responses?
No. Using advanced AI to generate review responses that are original and helpful does not violate Google policies. In fact, templated responses have been around for years and Google has never flagged these as being problematic despite these responses not being completely original to each review.
It is important to keep in mind that advanced AI like SOCi Genius is in a phase of rapid development and future policy decisions are impossible to predict. If Google policies change in a way that impacts our review response services, we will take quick action to ensure our services comply.
